If you have not yet found your way to the Vertigo restaurant atop the Banyantree Hotel, this is a 'must see' destination. This outdoor rooftop restaurant is located on the 61st floor with unrivalled views of the city. The menu is excellent and the quality is top notch. I've tried Vertigo@Banyan Tree and it's great but personally i prefer dining at Sirroco @ State Tower Bangkok. Its also alfresco dining on the rooftop as well. abt $100 for 2 pax if its just main courses with drinks. The view is priceless. Heard that there is an alfresco seafood restaurant called "Breeze" on the 52nd flr of the same building. but have not tried that personally, is it any good??
The buffet at the Sukhothai hotel next door to the Banyan Tree is also excellent. The Sukhothai is worth the visit just to see the elegant architecture, decorations and water gardens.
