Sign up to IRIS at London airports

I constantly hear people complaining (with justification!) about the immigration queues at LHR, LGW etc, especially non-EU citizens. But those resident in UK can register with IRIS (eg Terminal 3 office is just after security in Departures), it onlt takes a few minutes and next time they come back they can avoid all the queues. What's more very few people seem to know about it so there is never a queue at the IRIS gates

There are IRIS registration offices in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 also.

Matthewg's tip on IRIS is excellent - presume you can do this at Gatwick or other BAA airports too?
