Completing the route around the Superstition Mountains can take over 4 hours. The Trail winds steeply through 40 miles of rugged desert mountains, past deep reservoir lakes and is unpaved at some points.
You will see Goldfield, a mining ghost town, Saguaro Lake, Apache Lake, which offers steam boat rides and an old pueblo known as Tortilla Flat.
